The Business Intelligence Associate will take a data driven approach to informing product development and services enhancements decisions. You will dig deep into every area of the company to identify all sources of data emanating from all of our product offerings, develop a repeatable and scalable reporting framework, and queue up and make recommendations for the product, operational and strategic implications residing within the data. You will also support the design and content of reporting that will be distributed to our customers, as well as to the leadership team.

The ideal candidate will have strong data extract, analytical, financial, and presentation skills, in addition to strong interpersonal and communication skills. We are seeking a self-starter that can independently organize and prioritize work.

  • Design and develop processes for metrics creation, modeling, and reporting on top of raw data sets to produce outward-facing (customers) and inward facing (management) reports that clearly tell the relevant story, and provide a pathway to data-driven decisions.
  • Develop a self-service dashboard that informs management of key statistical information in real time, and that can be used by our customers.
  • Maintain the company’s operational and financial model by revising the assumptions using real-time data and analyze the impact of the data on the operational and financial plan.
  • Help inform and influence product and business strategy through data-driven insights.
  • Work with other teams to define, address, and improve data quality.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Economics, STEM Degree or similar field with 2+ years work experience
  • Solid Excel/data management skillsSolid SQL development skills in writing complex queries
  • Solid experience with Data Visualization tools (e.g.: Looker, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience designing and implementing reporting dashboards (e.g.: Excel, Tableau)
  • A self-starter that is not daunted by digging into data sources and linking the data to business implications
  • Proficiency around presenting data in a visually pleasing and easily digestible way
  • Development experience in at least on scripting language (PHP, Python, Perl, node), and software development skills (JAVA)
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of databases
  • Basic understanding of statistical analysis (Excel, R, RATLAB, SPSS, SAS Stata, Pandas)
  • Experience with large datasets and distributed computing (Hive/Hadoop)
  • Mixpanel
  • Understanding of Amazon Web Services like Kinesis, Lambda, Data pipeline
